It has been a very exciting time here at JTD with the completion of our new website and I thought
I would take some time in letting you know what has happened since we moved from our initial
home in Meltham.
We moved into our brand new premises in Brockholes back in August 2018. This is a state of the
art warehouse and yard facility with an improved Trade Counter and Shop area, all in all designed
to improve the overall customer experience. In order to serve our customers in a more efficient
way I realised we needed more staff with a differing knowledge base enabling us, as a business to
expand our product range particularly in Roofing and Timber. Robert Smith is our Roofing Guru
and has over 33 years experience, gained through a family owned business which was acquired
by SIG in 2006. Adam Garside, who has over 32 years experience in the industry, has joined the team as our Timber Manager to expand and grow our Timber offering.
When we moved to Brockholes it became obvious from the outset that we would be very busy
and to continue our excellent next day delivery service we would need to invest in a new 26-tonne
HGV vehicle with Hiab. Our new vehicle arrived in September 2018 and has been a welcome
addition to the fleet.
I am very proud of the way the business has continually evolved since its inception back in 2011. Only
2 years ago we employed 8 people, we now employ 21 people and I can proudly say they all do a
fantastic job working as one team to the benefit of all our customers.
